This trip to the Austrian Alps and the high altitude glacier at Pitztal was a journey to find calm in my mind, clarity of purpose and peace. The images I was searching for I believe reflect the state of mind I was in - calm, peaceful and clear on what I want my work to be about; telling stories in nature and evoking a sense or an emotion. I felt lots of them on this trip; extreme highs skiing some of best powder runs of my life, total calm and peace behind the lens when searching for subjects in this vast, frozen and unforgiving landscape, the rush of adrenaline just before dropping into a steep face and the sadness and low that follows on the way down. For THIS is where and how I feel alive. A loving thanks to my wife for understanding, despite worrying!
